Kingsmead College was crowned first runner-up at the annual inter-schools Auckland Park Preparatory School (APPS) gala on 16 November.
According to the school, the APPS gala is the highlight for the Grade 1 to 3 swimmers and participants competed with enthusiasm and great excitement.
Nine teams from different Johannesburg schools participated in the competition – St Mary’s, Kingsmead, APPS A team, APPS B team, St Andrew’s, St Teresa’s, Roedean, Holy Rosary and St Katharine’s.
Robert Pullen, Kingsmead College director of sport said, “The competition was strong, but our girls have trained hard and are overjoyed with their success.”
