Science excellence for Parktown Girls

PARKTOWN – Headmistress is grateful to donors for the new state-of-the-art science labs.

Parktown High School for Girls held the official opening of their Centre for Science Excellence on 10 November.

Before the official unveiling, donors and guests were taken on a tour of the four new laboratories on the school premises.

Dr Anthea Cereseto, the school’s headmistress, addressed the guests and past schoolgirl, Prianka Padayachee, gave an inspirational message.

Padayachee is now an employee at one of the major donor’s of the project, Anglo American.

The school extended its gratitude to Anglo American Chairman’s Fund, Oppenheimer Memorial Trust and the Edgar Droste Trust.

“Thank you to all of our parents and guardians and donors for helping to make this long-time dream a Parktown Girls’ reality,” said Cereseto.
