Parkview Golf Club to host Carols by Candlelight

PARKVIEW – Carols by Candlelight will take place on 1 December.

Parkview Golf Club is inviting local residents to join its members at a Carols by Candlelight evening on the club’s fairways on 1 December.
“Spread a blanket on our lush lawns and start the festive season singing along with popular songstresses Emily and Catherine Tuson, to your favourite carols,” said club director, Jerry Fraser.
Emily (23) and Catherine (21), who live in Melrose Estate, have been singing and playing music from a young age and have been involved in cultural activities such as school musicals, choirs and play in the band at St Charles Catholic Church.

Emily, a medical student at Wits University, plays the guitar while her sister is studying physiotherapy at Wits and prefers the piano.
“We play at weddings and parties occasionally. I teach and accompany the De la Salle High School choir,” said Emily.
The carols will start at 7pm and candles will be on sale on the golf course. Light snacks and refreshments will also be available.
“Local residents have joined us in a number of events during the year and the carols evening will be the perfect finale for our celebrations. Everyone is welcome,” added Fraser.
