BLAIRGOWRIE - Linden police are investigating a murder that took place in Blairgowrie.

BLAIRGOWRIE – Linden police are investigating the death of a man after he was found in Blairgowrie.

According to Linden Police Station spokesperson, Captain Walter Spencer, the man’s body was found on 29 October at around 11am. “Police were called to the scene where a man’s body was found face-down; he was declared dead at the scene,” Spencer explained.

He added the deceased, in his 30s, was well-dressed and found next to a wooden fence with a stab wound to the chest. “We are investigating a case of murder and appeal to members of the community to come forward with any information that may help our investigation,” Spencer said. He added that the name of the deceased would be withheld until the next of kin had been notified.

In another case being investigated in the Randburg area, on 29 October, a man was knocked over by a car after he and an accomplice robbed two women at knifepoint. It is alleged the robbery took place under the N1 bridge in Fontainebleau, Rabie Street. As the two suspects ran away, they ran up the embankment and tried to cross over the highway, where one of them was knocked over by a car. Police are investigating the matter.
