An eight year old disabled girl drowned on 17 October while taking a bath in an apartment in the Johannesburg CBD.
Athlenda Mathe, spokesperson for Netcare 911, explained that when paramedics arrived on scene, the child had already died.
“She was assessed for signs of life and sadly she was declared dead on the scene,” she said.
Mathe confirmed that the 8 year old was paraplegic and the incident occurred just after 6am.
Police are still investigating.
