Mrs SA finalist raises funds for cancer

LYNDHURST – Cuppa for Cansa event a huge success.

Mrs South Africa finalist, Lungi Dhlamini Hlatshwayo recently hosted the event, Cuppa for Cancer, for the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) at the OR Tambo Protea Hotel.

Cuppa for Cansa is an opportunity to socialise with various people and raise funds for a worthy cause at the same time. The event served a delicious breakfast to all the guests, prizes were won and an auction was held to raise funds for Cansa.

It was an interesting and fun occasion as various speakers and successful entrepreneurs shared their stories and Hlatshwayo thanked all the guests for being there to give their support.

Hlatshwayo, the Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa finalist from Lyndhurst, said planning the Cuppa for Cansa event was such an amazing experience. “I felt somehow fulfilled doing things I love while raising funds to help people who are affected by cancer. I can say that I have found my purpose in the process,” she expressed.

She also added that raising funds to help the less fortunate is what she’s planning to do, going forward. “I want to continue implementing these events while raising funds to help people in need.”

Hlatshwayo offered her appreciation to everyone who made the event successful, including Igazi Lemvana Investments, Nashinga Safety Consultants, Embelishment, Cake Extreme, Rainbow Kids and Caltex.

The final round of judging to name the Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa 2017 will be held this month at Emperors Palace.
