PARKTOWN – The school recently celebrated its 93rd birthday.

 

Parktown High School for Girls recently celebrated its 93rd birthday with a memorable and enjoyable sports day.

The theme this year was centred around women empowerment and standing up for one’s beliefs. “This resonates with the school’s ethos of developing courageous young women who are willing to make a difference in the world,” said Kerry Liss, communications and marketing officer of the school.

“As per tradition, the day was filled with fun and laughter as the school played games and ate delicious food.”

All profits raised from the special day went towards the Grade 11 pupils’ chosen charity, Pathways, a home for children with severe mental and physical impairments.
