Suspect wanted in Parkview for committing crimes against women

PARKVIEW – Police need the community to help find a wanted suspect.

 

Parkview police’s detective Sergeant Roy Davids is looking for a male suspect by the name of Warren William Lawerence (48).

“He has been positively linked to committing crimes against women in the Parkview precinct,” said Davids.

According to him, the suspect has three cases against him so far, two for pointing of a firearm, and one for theft. All of the crimes were committed in Victory Park.

“The docket against him was opened against him in 2014 and a warrant of arrest was issued, however, he was not found. We also followed up on a lead that he could have been in Cape Town but were unable to find him there, so we need the community to help.”

Davids has advised that the suspect is dangerous and should not be approached. Community members are requested to rather contact Davids or the nearest police station if they see the suspect.
