Old Arcadians set to host special reunion for author

SANDRINGHAM – Old Arcadians to honour international author in Sandringham.

 

The Old Arcadian Association will host a reunion in honour of a special alumnus next month in Sandringham.

The reunion will take place on 18 September at the Sandringham Gardens home, located on 85 George Avenue, in honour of internationally recognised author and association member, David Solly Sandler, who will also be the guest of honour.

Sandler, originally from South Africa, has authored many historical books which have been released around the world. The author and historian has also raised more than R1.2 million for the various Arcadia Childrens’ homes across Johannesburg through the sale of his books which include 100 Years of Memories of Arcadia, The Ochberg Orphans, and The Pinsker Orphans.

Sandler currently lives in Perth, Australia.

The Old Arcadian Association reunion is set to begin at 2pm until late and Sandler is set to attend the event.
