Author visits schoolchildren

ORANGE GROVE – Orange Grove children receive a special visit from musician and author, Alan Glass.

Orange Grove Primary School children were treated to a special visit by author and musician, Alan Glass.

The visit took place at the school’s library and was organised by volunteers, together with publishers Pan Macmillan, as part of an ongoing literacy enrichment programme by the volunteers.

Glass’ visit saw pupils treated to a special reading from his books, including his newest book, Oliver’s outline.

The visit ended on a high note as Glass treated the children to some of his songs.

The school’s library was started by a group of dedicated volunteers in 2012 to expose pupils to a world of literature and knowledge.
