22 suspects nabbed for various crimes

JOHANNESBURG NORTH – Police officers successfully nab 22 suspects for various crimes within the cluster.

Police officers from Sandringham and Bramley police stations recently nabbed 22 suspects for various offences committed within the areas ranging from fraud, possession of dagga and drunken driving from 29 to 31 July.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for both police stations said, “Bramley police arrested two people, one for possession of dagga and the second for allegedly being in possession of copper.

“Meanwhile, in Sandringham, police officers arrested 17 people for drunken driving and another suspect for fraud.”

A further three suspects were also arrested by police officers, one for assault with the intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, another for reckless and negligent driving and a third for assault common. Maphakela confirmed that all 22 suspects were detained at the respective police stations where they were charged for the various offences. “They have all since appeared at the respective courts to face various charges filed against them,” he confirmed.

Both the Sandringham and Bramley police stations fall within the Johannesburg Cluster, which also includes the Midrand, Sandton and Alexandra stations.
