Suspects make off with 100k worth of valuables in Kew

KEW – Bramley police investigate a housebreaking incident after robbers made off with R100 000 worth of valuables in Kew.

 

Bramley police officers are on the hunt for one or more suspects linked to a recent housebreaking incident in Kew.

The incident took place on 8 August in the early hours of the morning after the resident, who was sleeping at the time, entered the kitchen.

According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, upon entering the kitchen, the resident found his kitchen door open. “According to the resident, he then realised that the kitchen door had been forced open and that several items had been taken from the house.”

The stolen items included three laptops, R50 000 in cash, three cameras, a TV set and a playstation set, among others.

Maphakela confirmed that the total value of the items was estimated at R100 000 and that the matter was reported at Bramley Police Station.

“We are currently investigating a housebreaking case and are still looking for the suspect(s) linked to the incident.”
