Bramley police on the hunt after suspect steals valuable radio

ATHOLL – Bramley police hunt for car theft suspect in Atholl.

Bramley police officers are on the hunt for a suspect linked to a theft out of motor vehicle incident in Atholl on 12 July.

According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, the incident unfolded after the resident had left his Mercedes-Benz parked outside his house.

“The resident alleged that he left his car securely locked outside his house for a few hours and upon returning to it, found the small back window smashed,” Maphakela explained.

Upon investigation, the resident then discovered that his car radio, worth an estimated R24 000, had been stolen from the car.

Maphakela confirmed that the man reported the incident to the police.

“We are still investigating the theft incident and at this stage no suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime,” he said.
