Victory, pothole repaired in Norwood

NORWOOD – Massive pothole finally gets fixed following various attempts and complaints.by residents.

The gigantic pothole situated on the corner of Osborn and Arthur roads in Norwood, which has been a problem since early this year, is finally in the process of being fixed by Joburg Water.

Ward 73 councillor, Mia Snyman said that she has been trying since the beginning of April to get it fixed. “I posted a picture of the pothole on the Region E WhatsApp group, which consists of senior city officials in Region E, in April this year as a first step to make the senior officials of Region E aware of the problem,” she said.

The pothole was first reported by local resident, Toby Goldman who said at the time, “It has been in its present state since, I think, April this year. Water has been and continues to pour out of the hole.”

The repair work started on 26 July.

“I am so happy that this dangerous pothole is now being fixed,” said Snyman.
