Mia still has a lot to offer Ward 73 residents

JOBURG – DA Ward 73 candidate for the local government elections has big plans for the area.

Democratic Alliance (DA) candidate for the upcoming local government elections and current Ward 73 councillor, Mia Snyman said she still has a lot to offer the area.

Snyman came into office last year after a resounding victory of 92.49 percent against her counterparts, Philani Mabatha of the African National Congress (ANC) and Sidney Anolik of the Congress of the People.

“I am pleased to announce that I am the ward candidate for Ward 73 for the local government elections. I became the councillor after winning the byelection in November 2015. It has been an enriching and fulfilling journey so far,” said Snyman.

Snyman said in the last eight months she has gained a lot of experience and made the right contacts in the relevant City departments, and will focus on getting the basics of service delivery right in Ward 73.

Snyman has highlighted a few issues she hopes to focus on:

Snyman, who boasts a degree in journalism and honours in politics and international relations, believes that a ward councilor must be accessible, and tirelessly represent the views of the residents.

“On 3 August, I am not only asking you to vote for me, but to vote for the DA to win Johannesburg. Because a DA ward councillor can only do so much while the municipal services are controlled by an inefficient administration,” she said.
