Parkview police and Joburg Flying Squad chase down four suspects for robbery

PARKVIEW - Police and the Johannesburg Flying Squad worked together on the night of 15 July to apprehend four suspects for a robbery.

The robbery took place at Greenfield and Summerside roads at around 9.21pm where the Parkview police also found four vehicles that were broken into on the same stretch of road.
The police together with the Johannesburg Flying Squad, under the command of the Parkview police’s Acting Station Commander Colonel Sandile Mkhize,  worked around the clock to make the arrests in Florida after they followed the suspects there.

The suspects  were arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession suspected stolen property, car breaking implements, set of false registration number plates, ammunition and a number of bank cards were found in their possession.

Mkhize explained that the suspects may also be  linked to  two other armed robbery cases, one in Eldorado Park and the other in Florida.

“They are also suspected to be involved in a number of cases in the area,” concluded Mkhize.
