The Grade 5s of Holy Family College in Parktown enjoyed a surprise hot chocolate at My Bread and Butter in Parkview.
This after their bi-weekly visit to the Parkview Library, said Sarah Tobin, a Grade 5 teacher at the school. “The staff at My Bread and Butter were massively accommodating at having 30 11-year-olds in their restaurant all at once. They even gave the children marshmallows in their hot chocolate,” she said.
Tobin added that the college was trying to promote a culture of reading among its pupils, who love their visits to the library. She commended the staff at the Parkview Library for always being friendly and helpful.
