Book launch to highlight plight of homeless

BRAAMFONTEIN – Empathy book launch to focus on the plight of the homeless.

Focused on showcasing the plight of the homeless, the CEO SleepOut Trust will host the book launch of Empathy this week.

The launch comes a month ahead of the second instalment of the CEO SleepOut challenge taking place at the Nelson Mandela Bridge on 28 July, which will see business leaders spend the night on the street in aid of charity.

The book launch will take place in Braamfontein at Arbour Square and will see the trust, together with its various partners, unveil a coffee table book highlighting the lives and hearts of the homeless.

Empathy is described as a professional collaboration between like-minded individuals and organisations who have joined forces to tell the true stories of homelessness and ultimately work together to create positive change for those who need it most.

A percentage of the proceeds will be awarded to The Salvation Army, which is the appointed secondary beneficiary partner to the trust.

The book launch will take place on 23 June and is set to begin at 6.30pm.
