Japari School turns 50

VICTORY PARK – Japari School celebrated its 50th birthday by hosting a big walk in Delta Park.

This year, Japari School is celebrating 50 years of educational excellence.

As part of their jubilee celebrations, staff, pupils and parents participated in the school’s big walk which was held at Delta Park in Victory Park. Participants completed a 5km course and all juniors and parents who wanted to walk a shorter distance participated in a 2km walk.

Steve Rees, headmaster of the school, said the school was delighted to celebrate its golden jubilee. To commemorate the wonderful achievement, a year of special events has been planned by the school.

“What has remained constant is our warm, caring, supportive, happy and harmonious culture. Our staff team is excellent and truly care for their pupils and each other,” said Rees.

“I believe that the team here is exceptional and the very best with whom I’ve served,” he added.

The day was a huge success and ended with a picnic in the park.
