A stillborn baby boy was found in a rubbish bin near a block of flats in Hillbrow, according to Hillbrow Police Station’s spokesperson, Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo.
Zondo explained that about 7am on the morning of 30 May, a cleaner noticed the stillborn in the bin. The baby had appeared not to have reached full term.
“The stillborn was found wrapped in plastic by the cleaner who then alerted the police,” Zondo said.
The corpse has been taken to a morgue. “The case is still under investigation to find out who the baby belongs to,” concluded Zondo.
