#MatthewTheunissen comments cause massive racial outcry on social media

JOBURG - Social media has been lit up following two separate racial incidents.

Massive outrage has been sparked on social media, following a racist facebook post by user, Matthew Theunissen.

Theunissen post, directed at Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula and the South African government contained a heavy racist tone as well as vulgar language.

The post is a response to Mbalula’s ruling that major South African sporting boards will not be allowed to host any international tournaments and will not be allowed to bid for any upcoming tournaments.

Also trending on twitter, is another racist incident that also happened in Cape Town, where an Oxford University student refused to tip a waiter because she was white.

#NtokozoQwabe sparked similar outrage on social media after it is alleged that Qwabe refused to tip the waiter at a restaurant, and wrote a note on his bill,  ‘We will give tip when you return the land’.

According to reports, Qwabe then took to facebook, bragging about how he reduced the waitress to tears.
