Hyde Park gets creative

HYDE PARK - Hyde School Musical proves popular with pupils

Following a successful run of Hyde Park High School’s production, Hyde School Musical from 13 to 15 April, pupils were treated to a mini-play at the school’s annual talent show.

Inspired by the Disney channel teleplay, High School Musical, the play brought together all the school’s creative talent to give a high-energy show filled with chart toppers and classic oldies, all highlighting the crowning moments in the school’s history.

Principal Manolis Vogiatzis expressed great pride in the cast’s achievement and commended their professionalism.

Spokesperson for the school, Avril Wright, said the performance inspired a tremendous amount of school spirit, with the cast and audience interacting enthusiastically.

The play was followed by a feast of dance, music, poetry, classical piano, flute and guitar by the schools talented pupils.

Wright said, “This event unveiled and revealed the many talented pupils who are at the school. The judges, all highly acclaimed in their field of expertise, were enormously impressed with the standard of the performances and the enthusiasm of the participants.”
