Children use art to encourage reading

ORANGE GROVE – Three kiddies recently gave the Orange Grove Primary School library a facelift.

The Orange Grove Primary School library was given a facelift by three young residents and their mother.

The children, Ezra, Dovi and Aaron Bricker and their mother, Batya, painted a mural on one of the exterior library walls which highlights the importance of reading for schoolchildren. The three boys are pupils at Yeshiva College Primary School located in Glenhazel.

The school library was established in 2012 after a group of volunteers renovated a run-down building on the school’s premises. Twice a week, volunteers host reading sessions in the library for Foundation Phase pupils.
