R20k reward for missing cat

JOBURG - ACANA South African director, Sonja Maricevic, is asking the public to be on the lookout for her office cat, named Babbaganoush, who has been missing since 14 January.

Initially, R10 000 was offered to the person who provided information leading to the cat’s safe return, but now an additional R10 000 has been donated by Champion Petfoods in Canada.

Champion Petfoods heard about the plight of the ACANA cat and kindly offered to double the reward.

Babbaganoush is an eight-year-old female tortoiseshell cat with black and brown colouring and a black face. She is microchipped but was not wearing a collar at the time of her disappearance.

Maricevic urged residents of Strydom Park, Randburg, Blairgowrie, Craighall Park, Oaklands, Orange Grove, Krugersdorp and Cosmo City to be on the lookout for her cat, as she could have been in the delivery vehicle and jumped out at one of the stops.
