A woman has been arrested on a charge of stabbing her boyfriend to death following an argument.
The incident occurred on 4 February at about 11.30pm at the couple’s residence in Hillbrow.
Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo of Hillbrow police said, “The boyfriend and girlfriend got into an argument resulting in the woman allegedly taking a kitchen knife out and stabbing the man.”

The 24-year-old woman, in a state of panic, ran to the police station and confessed. Zondo said, “Police rushed to the block of flats and found the man lying in a pool of blood.”
Emergency Management Services (EMS) were called. Zondo said, “EMS declared the 26-year-old man dead on the scene.”
Zondo added that there was a baby in the flat when police arrived.
The woman was arrested and taken to Hillbrow Police Station. The suspect will appear in Hillbrow Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of murder.
