“Yeoville police officers were stopped by a group of people along Rocky Street when they heard gun shots on the property next to them,” said Constable Thabo Malatji of Yeoville Police Station.
“They went to investigate and found two people lying on the floor with gun shot wounds. Police saw one suspect holstering a firearm and the other one trying to run away.”
The two suspects were arrested and the firearm was confiscated.
According to Malatji, the two victims were taken to hospital.
The suspects are expected to appear in Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court soon on charges of attempted murder.
