Light a candle and sing along
PARKVIEW – If there is one family fun event worth going to this festive season, it is the much-loved annual Carols by Candlelight at Zoo Lake.
It will take place on 9 December from 6pm to 9pm.
Hosted by the Rosebank Godfirst Church and the Parkhurst Community Church, this will be the 65th year that the event will be held at Zoo Lake, and just like previous years, this year promises to be filled with festive cheer and goodwill.
As always, hundreds of local residents are expected descend upon the Zoo Lake lawns, spreading blankets to sit and huddle together while lighting candles and singing along to the various forms of entertainment that will be on offer.
Although there has never been an entrance fee to the magical occasion, it would be very much appreciated if event-goers would make a donation to the Avril Elizabeth Home for the mentally handicapped, whether it be a monetary donation or a gift that will make a little one happy on Christmas day.
