Conservation sale now on

JOBURG - AT THE November meeting held by the Modderfontein Conservation Society, the society launched its 2016 calendar.

The calendar is the same size and format as last year and has just a single full-colour illustration of a tranquil scene at Fish Eagle Dam in the Modderfontein Reserve.

Below are 12 one-month-to-view A4 sheets with dates and space alongside each date for notes. The photograph was taken by Keith Martin early one morning when he was on Honorary Ranger duty.

The enlarged panels for notes are user friendly and the print is in a dark brown, signifying an earthy touch, according to designer, Lucia Cowan.“Due to the generous sponsorship of AEL Mining Services and the Greater Modderfontein Property Umbrella Association, we have been able to maintain the price of R25,” said Robbie Vermont, the society’s membership secretary. “These calendars are a real bargain and will make great Christmas gifts,” added Vermont.

The calendars are on sale from Tebogo Raolane at the Modderfontein Post Office in Queen Street.
