Space and beyond at Wits Planetarium tonight

JOHANNESBURG – Local artist Richard Penn and Jonathan Padavatan from the Wits Planetarium will be hosting a riveting public lecture about the solar system and beyond.

The lecture is titled, Measuring Life: What we know about other planets and how we know it, and will revolve around a journey through the solar system and beyond.

Penn is an award-winning artist with a master’s degree in Fine Arts from Wits, while Padavatan is a presenter/ senior technician at the Wits Planetarium and the two will cover all the basics of space and beyond.

If you’re a fan of the stars or simply eager to learn more about this vast and mysterious subject, this public lecture is ideal.

Measuring Life: What we know about other planets and how we know it will take place at the Origins Centre Museum on Yale Rd and Enoch Sontonga Avenue on 17 November at 6pm.
