Sergeant Bongi Mdletshe, spokesperson for the Rosebank police has confirmed that a woman was robbed by two men in a driveway on Bompass Road earlier today.
“I can confirm that a woman was robbed. The two suspects took jewellery and a watch from her,” he said.
Mdletshe could not confirm if the watch was in fact a Rolex watch.
An anonymous resident has told the Gazette that the car was hired from a car rental company and never returned. It is also alleged that the same vehicle committed theft of petrol at a Sandton petrol station.

It is believed an armed robbery occurred on Bompas Avenue in Dunkeld a few moments ago.
According to a tweet by @Crimeairnetwork three males in a white Fiat Punto allegedly robbed the victim of a Rolex watch.
