Get festive with The Forum Company

JOHANNESBURG – The best way to celebrate the end of 2015 would be by joining The Forum Company’s final, festive Farm to Table event on 6 December.

It’s the perfect chance to break away, gather your family and friends and feast on an array of delectable goodies. May we just add that the company hosts some wickedly cool events.

Their chefs are breaking out the big guns with a festive-inspired buffet.

For starters, each lucky table will be treated to a mixed potato and basil flatbread and pork hock terrine with granny smith apple chutney and grainy mustard.

The main course buffet will offer free range roasted hens with sage and onion stuffing; hot smoked trout with lemon and dill aioli, wild mushroom and truffle scotch egg; thyme roasted baby potatoes; roasted pumpkin salad with charred peppers; marjoram roasted chestnuts; honeyed heirloom carrot salad; watermelon, radish, pomegranate and rocket salad with goats cheese.

Stomach rumbling yet?

Dessert – everyone’s favourite course – will be a feast of homemade Christmas puddings, mini mince pies, very berry pavlova, classic lemon tart fingers, and dark chocolate pot with cherry sauce.

All this food and fun will be set up under the trees so that you can watch the sun go down.

The Forum Company festival Farm to Table event will take place on 6 December from 12am at L’antico Giardino, Farm 534, Pine Valley Road in Lanseria.

Tickets cost R420 per person.
