On 24 October at about 11pm on the corner of Umlazi and Bezuidenhout streets, two men arrived home in their vehicle and when they tried to open the gate of their property, they were approached by two men, one carrying a firearm.
Constable Thabo Malatji of Yeoville police said, “The suspects allegedly began to search the victims and took cellphones and money. The victims reported the matter to the police, and after swift reaction and investigation, one suspect was arrested a few blocks away from the scene.”
The other suspect is still at large and Yeoville police appeal to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact Colonel Moses Raphadu.
