The Hadaways hit Henry George

PARKHURST – Artists Heidi and David Hadaway will exhibit their latest works at The Henry George Gallery from 31 October to 21 November.

The couple is well-established, with Heidi producing a fantastic array of bronze figures and David painting gorgeous landscape and wildlife images. Combined, their extensive portfolios reflect the inspiration and beauty from the African landscape, as well as the human form.

Heidi is a self-taught sculptress who has spent the past 10 years observing and modelling clay interpretations of her children and any other figures that inspire her. She then sets these figures in bronze, creating delicate and striking sculptures. “I work from life and my imagination,” she said.

David is passionate about African wildlife and it shows through his paintings. Each work is incredibly realistic, and his signature look is quite distinctive, as his paintings are in a photo-realist style.

For The Hadaways exhibition, he has produced several charcoal drawings and oil paintings depicting landscapes of the Karoo and Drakensberg, as well as a number of African wildlifes.

Darryl Gray, curator of The Henry George Gallery said, “This exhibition will provide a rare opportunity for serious buyers to source appropriate and inspiring sculptures, whether it be for home decor or public display.”

The Hadaway exhibition will take place at The Henry George Gallery at 45, 6th Street, Parkhurst.
