Ward 90 meets with Metro police

CRAIGHALL PARK- Ward 90 councillor Anthony Still, commends JMPD for their positive attitude.

Ward 90 held its committee meeting at the Craighall Bowling Club and invited important role players with the cluster commander of Metro police, Senti Motheta and his team, attended the meeting.

“I was pleased to see the cluster commander and to meet our dedicated officer for the ward, Sergeant Lolo Fumbalele. They came into the meeting with a positive attitude. We look forward to working closely with them,” said Ward 90 councillor Anthony Still.

He added that the ward committee was making it a point to meet departmental entities as it was good to put faces to people and build relationships for a better community.

Still said the meeting with Metro police was a big step forward in managing the traffic flow at the Buckingham, Jan Smuts and Bompas intersections. He urged community members who see any bylaw infringements to contact the 24-hour Metro police control room immediately.

Dianne Webb, a Ward 90 committee member, highlighted the importance of the community joining hands with Metro police to create a system that works. “I think it is important to share with the community the good that is taking place within the ward and when officials do great,” she said.
