IRS donates security equipment to Norwood CPF

NORWOOD - IRS Forensic Investigations, an Orange Grove-based company that specialises in investigating financial crime, continued to show their support for the Norwood Community Policing Forum (CPF) by donating security equipment to their new Neighbourhood Watch initiative.

Chairman of the CPF, Stanley Letsoalo said, “We would like to thank IRS for their continued support towards the forum. We are looking to have the Neighbourhood Watch up and running toward the middle of October.”

The equipment donated included portable radios, self-defence equipment, safety equipment, a loud hailer and a case of latex gloves. IRS will also give training to Neighbourhood Watch volunteers in the use of self-defence equipment and radio communication protocol.

IRS chairperson, Chad Thomas, said all companies in the area should support local initiatives aimed at reducing crime.

“The community needs to come together and show their support which is aimed at reducing crime in the area. If we are able to do our bit, then other companies need to get on board and show their support, as crime affects us all,” added Thomas.
