Garden Fun Day for the whole family

PARKVIEW - Parkview Junior School annual Garden Fun Day provides entertainment for the whole family.

It’s not always easy to find something the whole family can do together, yet this is precisely what Parkview Junior Primary School managed to pull off.

For the second year running the school hosted a Garden Fun Day offering heaps of entertainment for toddlers, teenagers, parents and grandparents to enjoy.

Moms and dads were seen shopping for beautiful, discounted garden wares and plants while the children showed off their talent and flair by trying out a range of environmentally friendly crafts and activities. In line with this, the Spring Hat parade proved just how resourceful and innovative people can be and had some awesome prizes up for grabs. The young folk also had at their disposal a host of fun rides to keep them occupied.

People worked up quite an appetite and were quick to indulge in the interesting and enticing foods that were on sale. The event also featured a delightful tea garden where parents and grandparents were happy to take a breather while indulging in a variety of delicious cakes.

Guests were treated to onsite entertainment in the form of, among others, an archery display and a guest appearance by Veronica Lalouette, winner of the 2005 Idols competition.
