CAP’s swift response leads to three arrests by police

JOBURG - Community Active Protection's (CAP) rapid response and efficient tactical officers laid the groundwork in the capture, and subsequent arrest by Bramley police, of three robbery suspects on the morning of 24 August in Savoy.

According to CAP, the suspects hid themselves on the Savoy property.

CAP stated, “The homeowner’s spouse heard a commotion from inside the house and immediately pressed the panic button and called CAP. Due to swift action, CAP tactical officers were able to respond within 40 seconds.”

Upon arrival, CAP’s tactical officer managed to apprehend one of the suspects on the property. “The remaining three suspects fled on foot and a chase ensued. Two of the suspects were subsequently apprehended by the officers in a neighbouring street and were later arrested by police.”

According to CAP, the fourth suspect escaped.

CAP stated, “A weapon was recovered from one of the suspects. Due to the quick, calm and collected actions of the homeowners and CAP’s record response time, that’s three more criminals off our streets.”

CAP thanked all who were involved in apprehending the three suspects.
