Man stabbed in fight over a jacket (Warning – Graphic Images)

ORANGE GROVE – IRS Forensic Investigations members responded to a stabbing incident on the morning of 25 August when their vehicle was flagged down at about 8am on the corner of 2nd Street and 2nd Avenue in Orange Grove.

The IRS members separated the two men and confiscated the knife. IRS contacted a security company who then contacted police and Netcare, all of whom arrived shortly thereafter.
According to witnesses, the altercation occurred between the two who were fighting over a jacket. The fight allegedly began the previous Sunday.

One of the men was allegedly stabbed with a knife. A witness claimed the stabbing was self-inflicted.

The victim was wounded in the thigh, with the knife penetrating the main artery, resulting in a significant loss of blood. His wound was treated on the scene.

IRS thanked the security company for their prompt response and assistance.
According to IRS, no charges were laid.
