Elphin Lodge Retirement Village turns the old into new

MODDERFONTEIN - On 19 September, Elphin Lodge Retirement Village will sell refurbished greeting cards at its craft fair.

The team at the retirement village in Modderfontein does not believe in waste and is turning unwanted, used greeting cards into plastic wrapped ‘new’ cards for a fraction of the price sold in the shops.

A huge assortment of refurbished greeting cards will be on sale from 9am to 1pm at the retirement village’s craft fair. There is still an opportunity for the public to showcase their handmade products at a cost of R150 per trader.

The craft fair will also have a tombola stand, and will sell boerewors rolls and curry and rice. Tea, coffee, scones and other light treats will also be on sale.

Elphin Lodge invites the community to join in the spring fun and purchase the cards at the Rand Aid Association’s retirement village located on Modderfontein Road.
