Rand Aid flies with Tarentaal Village residents

LYNDHURST - A contingent of residents from Tarentaal Village in Lyndhurst recently visited a number of Rand Aid Association properties.

The residents left the properties with feelings of immense pride as Rand Aid, a non-profit organisation founded in 1903, manages four retirement villages, two frail care centres, a treatment centre for persons with substance abuse problems and a home for the deaf.

Tarentaal Village’s deputy complex manager, Annchen Henshaw said, “Everyone was very impressed with how large and well-run the organisation is, and participating residents said they were extremely proud to be part of Rand Aid.”

Apart from its upmarket retirement accommodation at Inyoni Creek, Thornhill Manor and Elphin Lodge, Rand Aid has a strong welfare focus and provides subsidised accommodation, care or treatment to more than 500 persons on a daily basis at its Thembalami Care Centre, Tarentaal Village and Wedge Gardens Treatment Centre.
