Exclusive footage has been given to the Rosebank Killarney Gazette by a close friend of Klara Gottert. The footage was taken at a parking lot in Bryanston and shows Klara and her best friend during happier times.

Honeydew police spokesperson, Warrant officer Karen Jacobs has confirmed that following a long meeting with Klara’s parents this morning, the case is still being investigated as a suicide.
The investigation is not finalised as yet, but for now no foul play is suspected. The detectives are still in the process of taking statements and collecting evidence.
When asked about CCTV footage from the shopping mall, Jacobs said, “We are awaiting footage from the mall, however, detectives who visited the scene and viewed the footage on the night said that the footage was very dark.”

Jacobs concluded by saying, “For now the case is still being investigated and is very sensitive for the family, but we are in contact with them throughout the investigation.”
