EXCLUSIVE: Klara Gottert – Teen asked on date on day of suicide

WESTCLIFF – According to a friend of Klara Gottert, she had been asked out by a boy on the day of her death.

UPDATE: 13 August 2015, 4pm – Honeydew police spokesperson, Warrant officer Karen Jacobs has confirmed that following a long meeting with Klara’s parents this morning, the case is still being investigated as a suicide.

The investigation is not finalised as yet, but for now no foul play is suspected. The detectives are still in the process of taking statements and collecting evidence.

When asked about CCTV footage from the shopping mall, Jacobs said, “We are awaiting footage from the mall, however, detectives who visited the scene and viewed the footage on the night said that the footage was very dark.”

Jacobs concluded by saying, “For now the case is still being investigated and is very sensitive for the family, but we are in contact with them throughout the investigation.”

UPDATE: The mother of one of Klara Gottert’s closest friends has revealed information about her final day, which may indicate that her suicide was planned.

According to the mother who wishes to remain anonymous until funeral proceedings are over, Gottert was asked by two boys at school about how she would feel if one of the boys asked her out.

She allegedly said to the two boys that it would be really amazing and she would like it if he did ask her out.

She however went on to say that it was a pity that she would not be on this earth for long. She then laughed it off a few seconds later.
