Wits Road Race will have Metro cops at major intersections

The annual Wits Road Race will take place on 16 August at the University of the Witwatersrand’s, Wits Club on West Campus, at 8am.

The double-lapper race starts from the university and meanders through Parktown, Westcliffe and Parkview.

Although there are no road closures, Metro police will be present at major intersections. Main roads that will be affected are Westcliff Drive, The Valley, and Armagh, Kildare, Dundalk and Kilkenny roads.

Motorists are asked to be patient and to obey the road marshals who will assist with traffic control on the day.
