Top achievers at Rand Girls’ School

PARKTOWN – Rand Girls’ School was proud to announce the top 10 academic achievers for the year in each of their respective grades.

Nyeleti Mongolele, Davina Diyoka-Ngomba, Cordelia Verster, Tercia Ramonyane, Lungile Hlubi, Lwazi Mweli, Tshegofatso Makoba, Anna Lebitsa and Ndinae Ramavhoya were the top Grade 9 performers.

The top achievers for Grade 10 were Basetsana Sebolao, Khanyisile Gumede, Nokukhanya Gabela, Candice Verster, Samukelisiwe Ngubane, Jo-Ann Peacock, Blessed Tshabuse, Lekwetse Ramasehle, Mbali Mthabela and Mamicky Molobo.

The Grade 11 pupils who made the cut were Sumaiya Shaikh, Rosette Mahlangu, Munashe Makosa, Mpumelelo Ngele, Latoya Ndlovu, Mapula Malatjie, Lufuno Matshidze, Zama Ntombela and Kamogelo Matsaba.

Following their stellar academic performances in matric, Sarah-Lee Seekoei, Fezeka Hlophe, Lerato Kubeka, Buhle Donga, Mellon Ncube, Vanessa Mthimunye, Khanyisile Hlatswayo, Khumo Lebona, Sukoluhle Moyo, Noluthando Linda and Ayanda Ndlovu will certainly have bright futures ahead of them.

Proving that intellect and education goes hand in hand even further at Rand Girls’ School, two other pupils also shone at the ATKV Spellathon finals held on 27 July. Sihle Ngema (Grade 8) and Amahle Mbelwa (Grade 10) progressed after qualifying from their district rounds. Mbelwa successfully made it to the sixth round of the finals.
