The car was allegedly turning onto Jan Smuts Avenue from Lancaster Road when a taxi knocked into it.
There are heavy traffic delays in the area.
Jan Smuts Avenue, heading towards Hyde Park has been closed off in order to clear away the accident.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.
