WATCH: Sars, Saps and JMPD confiscate fake takkies
HILLBROW - A joint crime operation is taking place in Hillbrow today.
The South African Police Service (Saps) together with the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and the South African Revenue Service (Sars) are conducting raids around Hillbrow today, 30 July.
According to Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo of Yeoville police, the raids are part of operation Fiela.
“There are various raids taking place in Hillbrow,” he said.
The revenue service has just confiscated, what they believe, are fake takkies.
According to Zondo, the raids are part of a clean up of Hillbrow, where they will be searching individuals, shops and cars.
