Generous donour pays for dog’s vet bill after being knocked over

LOMBARDY EAST - Emergency service provider, Emer-G-Med, recently attended to a dog which had been knocked over.

At around 1.30pm the dachshund cross, Rexy, had been knocked over and sustained injuries to both front legs.

The incident occurred on the corner of Malborough and Wordsworth roads in Lombardy East.

When emergency services got to the scene, they confirmed that the puppy had sustained bilateral fractures to its front legs with large open wounds.

Rexy was given morphine for pain and the wounds were then cleaned and both front legs splinted.

Emergency services made the puppy comfortable and transported Rexy to Fourways Vet.

A generous woman offered to pay for the vets bills. It was also noted that the puppy has billiary, which affects the liver.

The puppy will return home once it has recovered.
