Constable Thabo Malatji said, “The police were conducting a stop and search operation in the Yeoville area and they searched three men who were in possession of drugs.”
According to Malatji, the suspects were arrested and detained at Yeoville Police Station and are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrates’ Court facing charges of possession of illegal substances.
“With these arrests we are sending a strong message to the would-be criminals that we will not tolerate any drug activities on our streets. We are appealing to the members of the community to report any form of criminal activity that they see, and to work with the police as we are taking out the criminal elements in our community.”
