The teddy bear clinic calls on all cyclists to ride for abused children

PARKTOWN - Longtime patriot of The Teddy Bear Clinic for Abused Children, Angela de Bruyn is asking all cyclists to Ride for a Purpose in this year's 947 Momentum Cycle Challenge on 15 November.

The Teddy Bear Clinic is a non-profit organisation that has accompanied children step by step on the journey to healing, and has helped children after traumatic experiences for 29 years.

“A child who has been abused and is left to deal with the trauma alone can become a lost human being,” De Bruyn said.

“A child who has been given the support of counselling by psychologists, care by doctors, nurses, police, social workers and volunteers to embrace the child and those affected, can become a person who has learnt to let go and strive to live life to the fullest and become a positive individual.”

If you are a cyclist and wish to participate in the 947 Momentum Cycle Challenge, register with the organiser’s of the 947 Momentum Cycle Challenge by 27 August.
