Norwood Community Police Forum elects new board

NORWOOD - The Norwood Community Police Forum (CPF) held an elective annual general meeting on 24 June at Norwood Primary School and elected new members to the board. Stanley Letsoalo was elected as chairperson and Barry Dubb as vice chairperson.

Letsoalo said, “I am proud to be elected as the chairperson of the Norwood CPF. I would like to make the following pledges; to eradicate drugs in Norwood and surrounding areas, to increase the visibility of the South African Police Service and Johannesburg Metro Police Department, to develop a neighbourhood watch and lastly to bring the men responsible for the death of an Orange Grove resident to book.

According to Letsoalo, one of his goals is to implement a new policing group called the Neighborhood Watch.

“I am urging all members of the community to support us in any way they can as we [the Norwood CPF] are determined to clean up the streets and make our community a safer place,” added Letsoalo.
